Justin Cronin

I have just lain hands on his two books and find them much better than I'd imagined. That's because I've wrongly thought you can't know if something's any good without it having stood the test of time. Sure if you could wait a couple of hundred years, maybe... I'm not sure if you would have the mindset to read something though if you waited and read that something as a ghost.

That's not to say you should avoid the most classic classics, or ghosts either, though. The writer needs to find good things to better the skillset and learn from, classic and contemporary both.

  1. I really, really, really wish I had the patience to read. Really.
